Dear Friends of ISI,
As we enter our fifth year of program offerings, you will see new and exciting things still happening with the Irish Studies Institute at Molloy. This past spring we had such diverse offerings as a tour of the 69th Armory, Gaelic cultural celebrations and our second annual Bloomsday! Of course, we always celebrate St. Patrick’s Day in style at both the New York City parade and our hometown parade in Rockville Centre. We also offered a summer program on Ancient Irish Genealogy.
This fall promises to be a terrific season that includes Noel Kilkenny, the Consul General of Ireland, our first piping festival, and we continue to grow our Irish language and culture program. We currently have over 40 students taking classes on multiple levels.
Join us by taking a class, learning about Ireland today, hearing our language students do recitations, or bring your pipes and let’s hear you play!
See you soon,
Catherine Tully Muscente
Director, Irish Studies Institute
